The Supreme Court of Nigeria has dismissed the petition seeking the removal of President Bola Tinubu from office.
The petition submitted by Ambrose Aworu, the presidential candidate of the Hope Democratic Party in the 2019 general elections, sought to remove President Tinubu from office due to alleged drug dealing. In their judgment delivered on Monday, the judges of the court, led by Justice Uwani Abba-Aji, fined Mr Owuru five million naira.The court also warned the respondents not to entertain the frivolous suit filed by Mr Owuru.In his petition, Mr Owuru also alleged that President Tinubu was a CIA agent, a fact that he violated the conditions of being a head of state in Nigeria.
